What is a FilmPod?
With a FilmPod, you are the streamer & distributor of your own film. The FilmPod provides a structure and a mechanism. It provides marketing tools, tracking tools and streaming tools which are used internally by major platforms such as Netflix, Peacock, Disney+ and others. But you will have access to them through the FilmPod.
Experience wise - for the audience - think of the FilmPod like a streaming app. To the audience, it is a lot like most streaming apps, except that it provides them incentives to see & share your film, and it allows them freedom to find it and go to their favorite platform to view it (if that isn't the FilmPod app). To you, it is so much more.
The FilmPod is your central location to organize, develop and distribute your film or series.
Monetization and views on the FilmPod are tracked by the use of the Media Royalty Token (the MRT). You can learn the details of the MRT here. For the moment you only need to understand that the MRT is a nonfungible token containing smart contract which licenses and tracks views of your film. It uses blockchain technology and AI to feed viewer streams, and to track them for monetization purposes. No longer can a distributor hide the actual number of views of your film.
A FilmPod allows you direct to a world-wide audience, licenses streams for you, tracks those licensed views, allows you to decide how to monetize those views, allows you to interact with and market to your growing audience, makes more money per view for you, and more.
